What we publish
Structured, cited self-help for a specific reader: the person lying awake wondering whether their profession still has a future. The first guide, The Replacement Fear, is a 45-page PDF on the anxiety of being made obsolete by AI. The articles on this site are drawn from its chapters and are free.
How the material is sourced
Every claim that can be traced to research is traced. The guide numbers its citations; each article on this site ends with a list of the peer-reviewed sources it rests on — meta-analyses of job insecurity, the cognitive model of insomnia, the worry-postponement studies, the career-adaptability and job-crafting literatures. Where a construct is proposed rather than established (as with "AI Replacement Dysfunction"), we say so on every page it appears.
The 150 resources listed in the guide were each checked by hand before publication. Most are free.
What this is not
Not therapy, not treatment, not diagnosis. Psychoeducation and structured self-help, written to be checked. It will not tell you everything is fine, and it will not tell you your career is over — nobody honestly knows either. If your anxiety is most of the day most days, if sleep has been broken for weeks, or if there are thoughts of not wanting to be here, please talk to a professional: here are low-cost routes. In crisis: US call or text 988 · text HOME to 741741 · UK Samaritans 116 123 · anywhere else, findahelpline.com.
